On September 22, Gearharts Fine Chocolates voluntarily recalled a limited number of Signature Chocolate Assortments out of an abundance of caution after an employee discovered a piece of broken glass in a finished chocolate as part of an internal quality check.   

Gearharts promptly initiated the recall, notified the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and followed applicable recall procedures. All affected online and wholesale customers were notified directly, and to date, we have received no customer reports of glass contamination.
